Diamond Island Resort is in the east coast fishing village of Bicheno and overlooks the island for which it is named. You can wander for two minutes from your room to a pure white sandy beach with the crispest clear water – to the north is the untouched grandeur of the Douglas Apsley National Park and to the south the village and Freycinet National Park.
At low tide you can explore the island. Pristine beaches, breathtaking ocean views, national parks, a nineteenth century island penal settlement, and boutique vineyards entice the traveller on this route Imagine being so close to the coast as to feel a part of it…strolling through a beautiful garden, at the foot of which lives a colony of little penguins…a few steps further a private beach, complete with a magical island. Just two kilometres north of Bicheno (equidistant from Hobart and Launceston), each of our stylish apartments has an uninterrupted view of the coast. Unwind with a game of tennis or a dip in the pool, enjoy the regional fare in our restaurant, Facets, or venture further afield to experience all the east coast has to offer, returning to the jewel in the crown.
